1. Diet: Avoid sugar, milk, processed foods, and most grains including wheat. It is important to eat a high protein diet to help facilitate detoxification.
2. Supplementation:
- Acidophilus – to optimize bowel flora for detoxification
- Fiber – use flax seed 2-4 tbsp sprinkled on food or in a smoothie followed by a large glass of water.
- Garlic – fresh garlic (not a supplement) – 3 cloves per day.
- MSM – use crystals ¼ tsp in warm water ½ hour before breakfast or 1 capsule twice a day. (a sulfur containing supplement).
- Cilantro – eat as much as you like.
- Multi – mineral including zinc and selenium daily.
- Apple cider vinegar – 1 tsp in 1 oz of water before meals
3. Liver and Gall Bladder Support: Digestive enzyme (Similase) one to four capsules before meals.
4. Antioxidants: Vitamin C and E
- Vitamin E: 400IU daily, then 2000IU the day of and the day after dental work.
- Vitamin C: 250 to 500 mg with each meal. If exercising aggressively take an extra 1000mg 15 to 30 minutes prior to exercising. You can take up to 4000 mg daily.
* It is ideal to start the protocol 3 weeks before and then continue for 1 week after dental work.
