- Do not drive for 24 hours following appointment.
- Do not operate any hazardous devices for 24 hours following dental appointment.
- A responsible person should be with you until you have fully recovered from the effects of the sedation.
- Avoid going up and down stairs unattended.
- Having nutrition after sedation is important. The patient should begin eating appropriate foods as soon as possible.
- Drink plenty of fluids as soon as possible.
- Please inform your companion that you may feel and act alert however this can be misleading. Under no circumstances should you be left alone for 6-8 hours following your dental visit.
- Always hold patients arm when walking.
- We are here to answer all questions you may have. If you feel that your symptoms warrant a physician and are unable to reach us, go to the closest emergency room immediately.
- Under no circumstances should you carry, sleep next to, or be left alone with young children for a period of 24 hours following the last dose of medication!
- Your safety and well-being is of the utmost importance to us. Please advise your companion to drive directly home and call the office when you arrive and are comfortable and safe.
In addition, please follow the procedural instructions given to you in your sedation consultation.
